The POLYTOPS^® nails have a coloured head which is made from tough UPVC polymer. These clearance, end-of-line products come in grey and brown colours.

All our POLYTOPS^® UPVC nails are made from A4 marine grade stainless steel, which guarantees against corrosion from salt water or chlorine.

Rust stains can occur when A2 or zinc-plated steel nails are used. The carbon reacts when it comes into contact with salt water or chlorine, resulting in corrosion. This results in a brown rust stain on the fascia or soffit board, leaving unpleasant and noticeable stain marks.

Please note: Saltwater mist can travel 50+ miles inland from the coast, so most places in Britain can be subject to rust stain corrosion if the wrong UPVC nails are used for fascia or soffit fittings. In addition, heavily polluted areas can affect zinc-coated or galvanized steel, so the risk of rust stain is greater in urbanised areas like cities and larger towns.
You will not experience these issues with POLYTOPS^® A4 marine-grade stainless steel nails.
